Types of Nannies
Daily Nanny
A qualified & experienced ‘Live Out’ Nanny who cares for children of any age, in your home on a daily basis.

Daily Nannies work full days - either Full time (4-5 days a week) or Part time (1-3 days a week) and typically for 10hr a day.
A Daily Nanny is often available for babysitting upon request and some families will include a BBS night in the agreed hours when completing a contract.

A Nannies priority is of course keeping your children safe & happy.

Daily Nannies are paid between £19 and £25 gross per hour.
Family Assistant
A flexible ‘Live Out’ Nanny who provides reliable childcare around your children's school schedules.

Family Assistants typically work from early afternoon for 5-7hrs during the school term.
Sometimes they will provide wrap-around care and do the morning routine too.In the school holidays they will work full days.

The usual Nanny Duties can be included in a Family Assistant role, however the minimised hours means there is not time for all these duties to be completed.
Consider what duties you would like done and choose your start time accordingly. -
The salary for a Family Assistant is based on an hourly rate of between £18-£22ph and then averaged out over the year, accounting for the long hours in the school holidays/ shorter hours during term time.
Expect to pay from £550gross per week.
Live In Nanny
A qualified & experienced Nanny who lives in your home, providing additional flexibility & caring for any age, from newborn to school.

Live In nannies work up to 12 hours a day, Monday-Friday.
Typically there are one or two nights of babysitting (Monday-Thursday) included in their salaries.
Live In Nannies are also available to be booked for proxy parenting when parents are away for the night. -
A Nanny role incorporates ‘Nanny Duties’. This includes anything child related, both admin or household-wise.
In addition to this, some families might agree extra duties with their Nanny. This could be cooking the evening meal for the whole family or walking the dog. Some families require PA type duties or extra housekeeping.
Any additions should be thought of as ‘extra duties’ and it’s important to understand that not all Nannies will be willing or able to take them on.
We advise you clearly outline any extras and include it in your job description. -
Senior Live-In Nanny salaries range from £600-£865 gross per week, depending on the level of experience, hours and workload required.
Kindred Junior Nannies are an alternative ‘live in’ option if you do not require a lot of experience.
Junior Nanny
Junior Nannies are confident ‘Live In’ caregivers who care for school aged children or younger children in shared charge.

You can expect a Junior live in Nanny to work up to 45 hours per week Mon-Fri, with 1-2 nights of babysitting between Mon-Thurs included in the salary.

A junior nanny is responsible for all standard Nanny Duties and admin - anything to do with the children.

Junior Nanny salaries vary depending on the candidate's experience, but current market rates range from £350 to £500 gross per week.
The range is dictated by the requirements of the job, the hours and workload and the level of experience and autonomy required from the nanny.
Nanny Housekeeper
A flexible Nanny who provides both domestic help and childcare in either a Live in or Live out capacity.

Nanny Housekeepers can be full time or part time.
Typically they will work a full day, usually around 10 hours.
There are some Nanny/housekeepers who are available on a part time basis for shorter days or for 1-3 days per week.A Nanny/housekeeper is often available for babysitting upon request and some families will even include one night of babysitting per week as part of their contracted hours.

A Nanny/Housekeeper will provide childcare alongside typical housekeeping duties.
Some of these duties might include:General household cleaning and tidying
Laundry and ironing
Cooking, Meal planning and food preparation
Driving (school run, supermarket)
Errand running (post office, dry cleaning)
Food Shopping
Other household tasks

A Nanny/Housekeeper salary will depend on the hours contracted but they are usually looking for between £19-£22 gross per hour.
Temporary Nanny
An experienced Nanny who will slot in at short notice & hit the ground running! Placements of <12weeks.

Temporary bookings can be made for whatever you need - part time or full time (minimum 5 hour booking) for up to 12 weeks.
Temporary nannies are available 7 days per week for 5-12+ hours per day.
Temp Nannies are available to work in London or accompany you on holiday.For Proxy Parenting- sole charge, 24hrs/x days, please give us a call.

Please consider which duties you require (on top of childcare) when assessing the hours you need. -
Temporary Nanny wages range from £15 - £22ph, depending on the responsibilities of the role, the nanny’s exerience level and the hours required.
If a Nanny is travelling with you, the package must also cover their travel costs, accomodation and food whilst they are working with you.
International Nanny

Our international Nannies can work up to 6 days per week and depending on the Families needs they can cover up to 24 hrs of care.

The salary for an International Nanny will be determined by the Families requirements, individual needs and the nanny's experience level.
An International Nanny working 6 days per week can expect to be paid between £1,200 - £1,700 NPW.
